A Big Thing (and a tiny delay)

Hello! Long time no write-a-new-post-and-share-our-goings-on-with-y’all.

Life has been, um, a lot. Or as many of us like to say, alot.

The most major thing has been that Judeth defended her dissertation and passed and is now Doctor Judeth. (In case you didn’t know, her PhD is in HCI—Human Computer Interaction.)

It’s an incredible achievement and Peter and I (chi) are beyond proud and excited. But it’s also meant that the past few weeks has been 100% focused on getting her across the finish line, leading to some delays. Which we’ll get to after…

THE BIG THING

So—

We did it. We got it.

Braddock, PA accepted our proposal for Writ Large Books & Collaborative and are giving us the building we asked for.

I mean—I don’t even know where to start. Even when you know that you are worth it, that you’re ideas are brilliant, that your presentation kicked bootay, it is still a shock when it happens.

Our next era of WLP truly begins, as we talked about in our first post after rebranding as Writ Large Projects.

Thank you to everyone who was excited for our plan for this building.

We are so FREAKING excited! Overwhelmed! BUT EXCITED!!

Like we said—life has been A LOT. Which is why there’s also…

a tiny delay

The LARGE Box #3 is slightly delayed. We just didn’t have the capacity to focus on it enough to get it out by June 1. We are delaying it to July 1. And it’s another amazing box of books and surprises.

Also, with the aformentioned BUILDING, we can use all the support we can get. And one great way of doing that starting now is by subscribing to our quarterly book box.

If you can afford it, a full year (4 boxes) of books and gifts is $300. That would be the best thing for us so we can build up our bank account and start meeting with banks, lenders, investors & other entities that we will need to find to build out our bookstore.

If that’s too much of a commitment, you can order one box at a time at $80.

You’ll be supporting us, supporting other indie publishers whose books we are including & scoring yourselves some amazing books that you probably won’t find in other book boxes.

Once again, thank you for your patience & all the excitment you have shown toward our plans.

It’s gonna be spectacular and we’d like all of you to be part of it.
